I had a hard time watching the first half of England-Trinidad & Tobago match yesterday morning. England had many chances of scoring but all labored to no avail. There was a shocking moment when Trinidad almost scored. Phew! Fortunately the match ended with 2 late goals. By that time i was fast asleep. But yeaH, England has safely secured a place in the round of 16.

Looking back, i used to be a Beckham fan when i was about 11-14 years of age. Well Beckham is still my #1 footballer today but the craze is not as much as it was in the past. To 'commemorate' my craze, I took out all my beckham collections! I cannot imagine how prodigal i was in my expenditures. I was amazed at the number of posters & magazines i had bought. If i were to 当掉 em' all, i think i can have at least 40 plates of 1 veg + 1 meat cai-peng! Terrible me.. Well now i have learnt to spend money really wisely, hence not a bad lesson after all.

I like Beckham for his accurate crosses, freekicks, how he runs (haha) & also how he looks (the..Don't say you don't. You are lying haha). But ultimately, it is his skills that attract me to him. Though age is catching up on him, i believe his name will always be remembered in the football arena.

Here are some of my Beckham collections!

One of my many magazines with Becks & Comic Beckham.

Top: My only Beckham Import from Old Trafford, England. It is also my largest (half-bodied poster of Becks) as you can see, my handphone pouch is at the top-right corner.
Bottom: The Beckham poster which has been hanging at the back of my door for like 8 yrs? Yes, he is the first guy i see every morning (haha).

Beckham scarf: This was specially for my brother. I first knew Beckham because of him. He said: "Hey zhi, i show you this very handsome guy. He is David Beckham". Tada.. That was back in 1998 when Beckham was a rising soccer star. (probably after he scored the phenomenal 57 yard shot from midline in Wimbledon 96/97 Premiership) And that was when money started flowing away too. (bad bad bad...)
Beckham Mug: Another gift for bro. It has become a cup for storing contact lens solution, eye mo etc. Not very nice actually, do not know why i bought it (this explains how crazy i was over him back then)

Beckham at VJC: I think this was taken in the year of 2001 when my bro was studying there. Beckham went to vjc because their soccer team topped 'A' Division for several years & his wife was 'victoria'.
Right: ManU Sticker & Mini-T (what a waste of money...)

The Official England Jersey for 2005-07: Bought by bro from England at $35 only! It is $99 in singapore. Dots! I love the red cross on the shirt & the collar too. This is the nicest England shirt I ever seen.
The Official England Supporter: Tada that's me..Oops..My bro better not see this. 我偷偷穿的...

Bro rocks! He gives me surprises every now & then. Today he went Johor for some quick shopping and bought me this cuuuute Beckham thingy (the 'head' is actually a print on a shirt). Bro bought 1 too but mine was a lil special! It came with a wooden stand. It is so nice! I liked it at first sight. Muacks to bro! Let's wear to ntu together one day! (hahaha..abish)

That's all folks. This post took me so looong.
